About This Project

On this project I filmed and edited a promotional video for A.JAIN Jewels. The client needed to see the movement of the bracelet and the articulation of the links. The bracelet expands and contracts to fit on different wrists.

 

Filming and creating the motion was done with magnets. With tiny, well hidden magnets I was able to add movement to each end of the bracelet. Magnets were fixed onto each end of the bracelet and stronger magnets were placed under the plexiglass tabletop. The magnet under the table pulled the smaller magnet fixed on the bracelet. With this simple but genius setup I was able to add movement to the bracelet without the use of strings or other propping devices that would be visible in the shot. Practical effects saved the day!
